Random things I love and hate about Christmas

A couple of things I love about Christmas:

Fun with families and friends.

Great Office Holiday Parties. With or with out booze.

Finding a cool gift for someone.

Finding cool things I want. Hint Hint. You still have time to get me these from the New York City Transit store.

--- These tiles remind me of growing up in Brooklyn.
Nevins Street Sign
Astor Place

Great modern Christmas songs. John Lennon- Merry Xmas, Karen Carpenter-Merry Christmas Baby. James Brown's Christmas Album. All I want is crabs for Christmas. (It's a Balto thing)

Some things I hate about Christmas...

Traffic and obnoxious people at malls or stores. Good will to all, unless they are online for something and act like little asses when the get to the cashier.

Remaking perfectly good Christmas movies. New Christmas movies are cool, but why, why, why do you have to take a claymation classic such as The Year without a Santa Claus, and turn it into a 2 hour movie?!? Or Miracle on 34th Street. Notice no one has made a remake of White Christmas...with good reason.

Now there are exceptions. Scrooged (Bill Murray) perfectly acceptable version of A Christmas Carol. However Alistair Sim (1951 B& W) version is the king of all versions.

Enough complaining.

HAPPY MERRY JOYOUS WHATEVER YOU CELEBRATE!!
